SAFEHR System for Safe Energy Recovery

SAFEHR® is a safe heat recovery system developed to eliminate the critical risk of direct contact between concentrated sulfuric acid and pressurized water. Using an inert and immiscible buffer fluid as an intermediary, the system enables efficient heat exchange without acid dilution or water contamination. The system is capable of generating low- to medium-pressure steam or preheating boiler feedwater, recovering up to 0.3 tons of steam per ton of acid produced. Ideal for absorption towers, SAFEHR® preserves equipment integrity by preventing dilution corrosion and enables immediate detection of any leakage on the buffer fluid side.

Thermal Efficiency in Processes with Critical Fluids

Greater Steam Generation

Recovery of absorption heat to increase steam production and improve the plant’s energy efficiency.

Maximum Energy Recovery

Use of process heat to reduce thermal losses and increase the operation’s energy return.

Enhanced Operational Safety

System developed to prevent direct contact between water and sulfuric acid, reducing operational risks.

Early Leak Detection

Monitoring of the intermediate fluid enables leaks to be identified before they impact the process.

Corrosion Control

Elimination of acid dilution effects, reducing corrosion rates and increasing equipment service life.

Reduced Operating Costs

Greater energy utilization combined with asset protection, reducing expenses with utilities and maintenance.
