CSX™ for Sulfuric Acid Applications

Clark Solutions CSX™ is a High Silicon Stainless Steel (HSSS) developed to provide high corrosion resistance over a wide range of sulfuric acid temperatures and concentrations while maintaining its structural properties under demanding process conditions. Its performance is based on the formation of a highly resistant passive silicon oxide layer on the material surface. This characteristic provides high resistance to concentrated sulfuric acid as well as enhanced protection against corrosion, pitting, and erosion, making CSX™ particularly suitable for equipment and systems exposed to highly corrosive environments.
